DeAndre Martin is the project manager for the PlaceKeepers Real Estate Development Program, empowering black residents in Northeast OKC who are interested in becoming real estate developers.
“DeAndre and I worked closely together to identify strengths and weaknesses within their business plan,” said John Day, First Security Bank, President/CEO.
This collaboration was successful. “The bank used a creative approach mitigating risk while also empowering minority developers in Northeast OKC,” Mr. Martin said.
The bank created a comprehensive capital program that included financial literacy, industry specific performance metrics, individual financial reviews, and a clear path to access financing. Today, PlaceKeepers continues to inspire and invest in minorities in the community.
